Black Eyed White Chinese Hamster

These are flukes that just appear out of nowhere. You can't actually breed for them.

Quote from Breeder " She was quite famous, because I actually managed to breed from her, and got two litters out of her before she died. They seem to be a bit more fragile than the other Colours. They only have Dom Spots, regardless of what you breed them with. Both her and the male I bred her with (another Dom spot) had Normal/Agouti in the background. I did some research on them when she appeared, and found out that most BEW Chinese are infertile, and most die before they reach 6 to 8 months old, she lived till she was almost a year and a half. She had her first litter when she was 8 months. I know one breeder, that bred Chinese for 30 years, and never saw one.

I have a theory about them, breeding Dom spot to Dom spot you get the lethal gene, which is the eyeless toothless white gene, but with Chinese, unlike the Campbell’s and Syrians, they don't live, but get absorbed back into the females body, which is why sometimes you only get small litters in Dom spot pairings, but every now and again, nature allows one to be born with everything intact. When she appeared, about 4 years ago, there were only about 10 recorded in the country."
